JUVENTUS, Alex Sandro: ‘Juve a springboard to Brazil call-up’

Interviewed by Sky Sports Italia, Brazilian full-back Alex Sandro took the chance to reflect on his first season with Juventus: "I have to thank Juventus, because they were very patient with the new arrivals. I am really happy with my debut season and if the Brazil coach then calls me up or not we shall now see. I have to wait and see, but the first thing is to play well for my club. By working hard every day, a call-up will come as a result."

On Massimiliano Allegri: "He is a really good coach, he has helped me a lot, just like the players. So, I have to thank him and all my team-mates. My aim is to get better with each day, physically, tactically and in attack. I think the desire to improve is a characteristic that each Juve player possesses. I cannot say who has impressed me the most. I knew I would be met by some really good players and they have impressed me both on and off the pitch."

Alex Sandro has been deployed on the left, but is ready and willing to play his part wherever his coach sees fit: "I’m here and available, but it’s down to the coach whether I play on the right, left or middle of the pitch and I will go wherever he puts me. I am also used to playing in other areas."

Settling in and learning a new language is never easy: "I am working hard to learn Italian, I haven’t been here long, but I have excellent teachers like Neto who is helping me a lot, but also Rubinho and Hernanes. They are brilliant and every day they teach me something new!"

Final thoughts on the showdown in Rome for the TIM Cup final and winning the double: "We have got our Scudetto celebrations out of our system, now we have to focus on the final of the TIM Cup. We are working really hard ahead of the final with Milan."
