Juventus, Benatia set to start Udinese clash

Juventus’ have based the triumphs of the last few seasons on a solid rock defence which has been the cornerstone of both Conte and Allegri’s Juventus sides.

The arrival of Medhi Benatia from Bayern Munich last summer has further strengthen the Old Lady’s defensive pack and the Morocco International is set to start his first Serie A game in more than one month after recovering from a muscle injury he picked up against Inter in September.

With Leonardo Bonucci who’s not been called for tonight’s game (the Italian centre-back’s son might have suffered relapse and Bonucci wants to stay close to his family), Benatia is going to start the Udinese clash tonight alongside Andrea Barzagli and Giorgio Chiellini who has also recovered from an injury he picked up last week while on duty with Italy national team.

As today’s edition of Tuttosport points out, Benatia wants to convince Juventus to exercise their € 16 million option to buy and sign him on a permanent basis as he has settled in very well in Turin and does not want to return to Bayern Munich.
