Juventus eye Southampton star as possible Dani Alves replacement

Juventus are still looking at possible replacements for Dani Alves who is going to leave the J Stadium to join Manchester City. The Old Lady has already shortlisted Man Utd’s Matteo Darmian and Real Madrid’s Danilo as possible replacements for the departing Brazilian star but today’s edition of Tuttosport (see below) reports the Serie A giants have also set their sights on a talented Southampton right-back.

The Italian paper claims Juventus are interested in signing Cedric Soares, 25, who is contracted with the Saints until 2020.

It is believed that the signing of Soares would cost Juventus somewhere around € 20 million although Southampton may decide to raise their economic demands if they manage to sell Van Dijk who is reportedly a top transfer target of Chelsea.

Soares, a 2016 Portugal European champions, delivered three assists in 34 appearances with the Premier League side last season. Juventus have yet to begin talks with either Southampton or the players’ agent.
