Why Juventus are concerned about Cristiano Ronaldo Real Madrid extension
- Matthew Klimberg
Ronaldo’s contract with Real Madrid expires after the 2021 campaign, and, as it stands, his contract won’t be renewed. The Spanish champions appear unwilling to meet the wage requests for a player who will be 36-years-old at the time.
Juventus is monitoring the situation with great interest as Madrid may look to raid their treasure trove of talent. At the top of Madrid’s list is Paulo Dybala, who’s become the darling of the soccer world at the tender young age of 23.
Should Madrid be unable to reach an agreement with Ronaldo, it’s likely they’ll set their sights, and wallet, on the young Argentinian, whom they see as the potential heir apparent. Unfortunately for Juventus, despite their deep coffers, they will be unable to match Madrid if the teams both engage Dybala.
