Juventus fans ambushed in Seville by local ultras, one fan taken to hospital with stab wounds

Juventus’ trip to Sevilla has begun tragically.

According to numerous sources, a group of Bianconeri fans were ambushed in a local restaurant by around 30-40 Rojiblanco Ultras last night.

The attackers were armed with knives and crowbars, stabbing one Juventus supporter in the arm and injuring many others.

The victim, a 28-year-old Belgian, was taken to hospital, and is fortunately said to be stable, and his life is reportedly not at risk.

The Bianconeri are set to play Sevilla at the Sanchez Pizjuan tonight in their penultimate Group H clash, with the home side undefeated and two points ahead of Juventus.

The two sides drew 0-0 in the first leg in Turin back in October.

There are currently an estimated 1700 Juventus fans in Seville for tonight’s game, and this incident has provoked local authorities to employ over 800 police officers to contain any potential repetition of these regrettable incidents.
