    Juventus interest in €30m Chelsea target confirmed

    Juventus’ interest in signing Chelsea target Steven N’Zonzi has been confirmed by reliable Italian broadcasters Sky Sport Italia. The French midfielder is a January transfer target of both clubs and has a release clause of € 30 million included in his contract with Sevilla.

    Juventus are still looking for midfield reinforcement after the shock departure of Paul Pogba last summer and the bianconeri director of sport Fabio Paratici believes that N’Zonzi would be the best replacement for his compatriot.

    Trouble is, N’Zonzi can’t play the Champions League as he has already features in the competition with Sevilla and the Old Lady is looking for a midfielder who can ideally play Europe’s elite competition. The potential arrival of either Franck Kessié or Axel Witsel, however, would allow Juventus to sign N’Zonzi too as both Kessié and Witsel can play in Champions League.

    The former Stoke midfielder is also on Antonio Conte’s radars as the Italian tactician literally loves modern midfielders who can combine physical strength and technical skills and N’Zonzi would be a terrific addition to the Blues’ midfield in January.
