Juventus, Khedira headed for a split?
Even as Khedira and representatives from the Old Lady discuss a possible extension that could see him remain with the Bianconeri past 2019, it appears that such a possibility is unlikely. Even when he returns from injury, manager Massamiliano Allegri hasn’t committed to finding a spot for the German international in his starting XI formation.
When asked about reinstating Khedira after his return, the manager was coy. “Not at the moment. When he returns, Khedira have a game every three days, in turn somebody has to stay out to recover. It was our strength last year, the second part rotation of midfielders and defenders.”
With a summer split likely, it appears MLS may be a landing spot for Khedira next year.
