    Juventus News: Zenit's stance hardening on Witsel, Everton offer Belgian €3m a year

    It looks like Axel Witsel’s eventual move to Juventus is far from a sure thing.
     
    It has been reported on numerous occasions that the Belgian is close to a move to Turin for a small sum, with his deal expiring next summer allowing him to transfer on a Bosman.
     
    This has been confirmed by Witsel himself, who said that he was sure he’d pack his bags for the J Stadium, but just wasn’t sure whether in January or in June.
     
    The latest reports from Russia indicate not only that Zenit’s stance is hardening,  but also that Everton are now offering the Belgian €3 million a year (according to FAN). 
     
    Zenit’s management would rather keep the Belgian international than give him away for very little, and are determined to ask for more than the €5-6 million currently on the table.
     
    Could Everton’s return to the fold convince Juventus to up their offer?
