Juventus ‘ready to make’ improved bid for Arsenal man

Juventus are ready to raise their offer in order to lure Wojciech Szczęsny from Arsenal. The contract of the Poland International expires in June 2018 and given the imminent end of his deal in North London, the Old Lady hopes the sign the former Roma star on the cheap.

Szczesny, 27, is said to be Juventus’ top target to replace Gigi Buffon from 2018, when the experienced goalkeeper is expected to bid his farewell to football.

Juventus, however, want to sign Szczesny this summer to make him adapt to life in Turin. The bianconeri goalkeeper Neto has asked to leave the club and is believed to have already reached an agreement with Valencia, although Watford’s opening bid is higher than that one of the La Liga side.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport (via ilbianconero), Juventus are set to offer Arsenal € 8 million after that their opening € 5 million bid was rejected by the Gunners whose asking price for Szczesny is still between € 15 and € 20 million.
