Juventus release Barzagli medical update
“Andrea Barzagli was forced off through injury just five minutes into Sunday’s 2-1 victory over Chievo at the Stadio Bentegodi after dislocating his left shoulder.
The defender was immediately taken to hosptial where the injury was treated and the shoulder put in a protective brace.
Andrea’s condition will continue to be monitored in the coming days”, Juventus official statement reads.
The Serie A club have failed to unveil the player’s recovery time. Barzagli, of course, won’t be able to join his Italy teammates for the incoming international break and Giampiero Ventura has decided to replace the experienced defender with Fiorentina centre-back Davide Astori.
