Juventus step up pursuit of furious Cavani

Edinson Cavani is emerging as Juventus' top priority in the summer transfer window. Our recent reports on the story are beginning to find corroboration in many Italian news outlets.

After Giuseppe Marotta refused to exclude an eventual Alvaro Morata departure from Turin yesterday, it is becoming increasingly apparent that the Bianconeri will be chasing Cavani in the summer.

Though the former Napoli and Italy superstar will cost somehwere between 40 and 50 million, it looks like PSG will be up for negotiating.

Today’s edition of Tuttosport claims that the Uruguayan is furious at being snubbed in favour of Henri Ongenda. Even worse, this was 69 minutes into PSG’s Saturday win over OGC Nice, with Cavani having started from the bench once more.

The Uruguayan's recent words about his situation in Paris ("You do your best, certain things happen and you can’t explain them: this makes you upset”) were rather eloquent, and have gone a long way to further transfer speculation.

What will the future hold for El Matador?
