Italian sports daily Tuttosport writes that Juventus will officially table a bid for Liverpool midfielder Emre Can this week. The Bianconeri have targeted the 23-year-old German as an alternative to Chelsea’s Nemanja Matic whose €50M price-tag is considered too high by club chiefs.
 

Can is entering the final 12 months of his contract at Anfield and previous reports suggest the player is open to a move to Turin despite Reds boss Jurgen Klopp wanting his fellow countryman to remain on Merseyside. The German tactician remains hopeful that this will happen and that the player commits his future to the club but when asked about the situation, Klopp could only reply that until a new contract is signed “Nothing is certain”.
