Raiola: ‘Juventus turned down €85 million for Pogba.’

There is little doubt that Paul Pogba is the most sought-after midfielder in the world right now, having already bagged three Serie A titles, two Italian Super Cups and one Coppa Italia since he joined Juventus as a free agent in 2012.

After the departures of fellow midfielders Andrea Pirlo and Arturo Vidal, the former Manchester United youth is struggling to live up to expectations at the Juventus Stadium, as he is still failing to take command of the Bianconeri midfield.

Despite critics and supporters pinning all the blame on Pogba (and Massimiliano Allegri) for Juventus’ lack of results during this season, the 22-year-old is still being chased by the best European clubs, something his agent, Mino Raiola, recently revealed during a radio interview with French radio RMC.

“Last summer Pogba wanted to remain at Juventus, at least for one more year,” Radiola told RMC.

“The best La Liga clubs pounced on him, as well as some English Premier League sides, but both PSG and Bayern Munich cannot be ruled out in the race for him.”

“We’ll see what will happen in the future. Every top club can sign him, we're keeping all options open.”

Raiola has also confirmed that FC Barcelona approached the Frenchman last summer, but Juventus rejected the Catalan club’s bid.

“Last summer Barcelona offered € 85 million for Pogba’s services, but Juventus turned down the offer. He is a very expensive player, as Juve expect to cash in € 100 million from his sale.”
