‘Juventus’ ultras controlled by Mafia’, court says

The Turin court of Justice has delivered its verdict in the ‘Alto Piemonte’ trial which investigated links between the ‘Ndrangheta Mafia and Juventus’ ultras.

Saverio Dominello and his son Rocco have been sentenced as they were found guilty of ticket scalping which directly financed the ‘Ndrangheta. Juventus president Andrea Agnelli was also involved in the sporting trial which saw the Old Lady’s no. 1 being banned for one year.

Agnelli was found guilty of giving away free tickets to Juventus fans but it was not proved that he knew about the criminal background of Juventus fans he gave ticket to.

The Turin court of Justice, however, has said that the "'Ndrangheta Mafia rules in the ‘curva’ of Juventus and directly controls group of ultras.” The Court also adds that “ticket scalping for Juventus games is organized by some Juventus ultras who have hugely threatened the club acting under the direct control of the ‘Ndrangheta Mafia.”
