REPORT: Napoli, Klaassen staying put as focus shifts to Bertolacci

With the summer transfer market slowly moving into action, Napoli is searching for midfield reinforcements.

    KLAASSEN MORE DISTANT
A name heavily linked recently is Davy Klaassen of Ajax but the player still remains unconvinced of a move to Serie A declaring that; “Naples? I do not think so. I am a player of the Ajax and will continue to be, unless the club decides otherwise. But for me there is no doubt". With these comments the track could turn back in the direction of Porto’s Héctor Herrera but the name that is back in fashion is that of Milan’s Andrea Bertolacci with the possibility of an initial loan-deal with a view to a permanent move for €15 million.

    TRUST OF SARRI
Bertolacci has the right profile to give Sarri some versatility in his central area. President De Laurentiis likes the idea of a young (25-year-old) Italian joining the ranks at the San Paolo and is confident his coach can return the player to the form he showed whilst at Genoa. If Klaassen really is out of the running, Bertolacci will be in pole-position.
