Klopp interested in Mercado, says River Plate president
The 29-year-old defender is currently playing the Copa America with Argentina and would need a work permit ahead of moving to England. According to Teamtalk, Mercado has more chances of obtaining if Argentina wins the tournament.
Liverpool have been scouting Mercado many times, including during Argentina’s opening game of the Copa America against Chile.
