Lacazette to 'fly to London in 48 hours' to complete Arsenal switch

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger looks to have secured the signing of highly-rated forward Alexandre Lacazette, with the Frenchman set to be flying to London in the next 48 hours to complete the £52m move.

The London Evening Standard reports that Arsenal’s talks with the Ligue 1 striker are at an advanced stage, with both Lyon and the F.A cup winners having decided on fee – one which surpasses the whopping £42m club-record fee that the Gunners paid for Mesut Ozil back in 2013.

Lyon looked set to be in agreement with La Liga club Atletico Madrid for the 26-year-old French international at one point, but following a transfer ban upheld by FIFA, Madrid had to pull away from the deal, leaving the highly-sought player left for other interested parties to fight over.

It means that their striker Olivier Giroud will likely move on to another club, with Premier League club West Ham the most heavily linked so far.
