Latest: Real Madrid want teenage sensation to reject Man United

Real Madrid are very interested in Gianluigi Donnarumma, according to Cadena Cope.

The Spanish radio claim that the Galacticos have asked the 18-year-old goalkeeper to ignore Milan’s attempts at giving him a new deal.

The Merengues see the teenage sensation as their future in goal. President Florentino Perez isn’t so convinced by current shotstopper Keylor Navas, and have been pursuing David De Gea over the last few weeks.

Real Madrid are expected to keep the Costa Rican for next season, but will then try to nab Donnarumma as soon as his current deal expires in the summer of 2018.

The young Italian goalkeeper has been sensational in the sticks over the last two seasons, taking over from Diego Lopez under Sinisa Mihajlovic’s tenure.

Things have gotten complicated between Milan and Donnarumma whose agent, Mino Raiola, has repeatedly hinted that his client could end up anywhere, and is looking for a big club.

The Rossoneri were set to offer him a €4 million yearly wage, but there is also the veiled threat of being sat for a whole season if he refuses to agree.
