Latest updates on the future of Gabriel Jesus

Inter are still in pole position to sign Gabriel Jesus in January. As CM.com exclusively reported on Monday night, the Brazilian starlet has agreed to join the nerazzurri in six months time, when the football season in Brazil will be over.

The player’s agent Cristiano Simoes has released an interview with Estadao talking about the future of his agent.

“Gabriel is relaxed at the moment. We don’t care about speculations, we only inform him about concrete negotiations. We read many rumours on newspapers, but he knows the truth. There are no ongoing negotiations at the moment.”

“He’s very happy at the moment; he wants to win the Brazilian Championship with Palmeiras. We are not forcing his exit. He can stay at Palmeiras until his contract expires if he wants. We don’t want to force his exit. If we wanted that we would have done it already.”

In the meantime, Brazilian newspaper Estadio de Sao Paulo reports that Gabriel Jesus now owns the 25% of his own economic rights. The player used to detain only the 15%, but his agent has reportedly given him a further 10%.

Simoes is currently sharing the 22.5% of the player’s economic rights with an external agency, whilst Palmeiras own the 30%, which means neither of the two parties have the power to close any deal without the agreement of the Brazilian winger.
