Lavezzi: ‘I rejected Inter, Chelsea, Man Utd offers to move to China’

Inter, Chelsea and Manchester United wanted to sign him, but Ezequiel Lavezzi eventually decided to move to China, imitating the likes of Fredy Guarin, Jackson Martinez, Gervinho and Alex Teixeira who joined the Chinese Super League this past January.

The former PSG ace revealed to Canal+, why he decided to leave Europe and sign with Hebei Fortune.

“I am attracted by the development plans of this club, that’s why I signed with them, as well as for economic reasons.”

“I am fascinated by the Chinese culture and playing here it’s definitely a very interesting challenge for me. I could have signed with Inter, Chelsea or Manchester United, but I decided to move to China instead.”

“That was an important decision for my career. I’m sure it’ll be challenging.”

“My experience with Argentina national team has probably come to an end too. I decided to move here and all I want to do now is give everything for my new team.”
