    Lazio lead the chase for € 10 million Leicester City target Lapadula

    Lazio are closing in the signing of Serie B hit-man leading scorer Gianluca Lapadula, this morning’s edition of Il Corriere dello Sport reports. Pescara have slapped € 10 million price tag on the 26-year-old striker, and Lazio DS Igli Tare has reportedly offered € 9 million.

    The Serie B club’s president Daniele Sebastiani will probably meet his Napoli counterpart Aurelio De Laurentiis today to listen to the Partenopei’s proposal.

    Leicester City and an unnamed Bundesliga club (probably Shalke 04 or Wolfsburg) are also interested in signing Lapadula who wants to leave Pescara to join a bigger club that can guarantee him playing time. With Lazio looking for a new striker to replace departing Alessandro Matri and Miroslav Klose, a move to the Olimpico seems to be a plausible option.
