Leicester City want £50m for Arsenal, PSG and Monaco target

Riyad Mahrez is set to cost Arsenal 50 million, according to the latest reports.

The Algerian is reported to have handed in a transfer request, with the Foxes fighting hard to stop him from leaving. PSG and Monaco are also interested in him, but it looks like they’ll need to work hard to persuade the Srivaddhanaprabha family to let him go.

The winner of last season’s PFA Player of the Year has had a decent campaign, but has shown some inconsistency as Claudio Ranieri was fired, leaving it to Craig Shakespeare to reboot the franchise.

Recent reports from the Daily Star indicate that the Foxes’ owners feel that Mahrez owes them, having given him a new £100.000-a-week deal last summer.

Then again, the Algerian feels like he’s done everything he could have done at the King Power Stadium.

Mahrez now feels he has gone as far as he can with Leicester and has to get away.
