Leipzig confirm €75 million bid rejected for Liverpool and Inter target Naby Keita

RB Leipzig owner Dietrich Mateschitz has released an interview with Bild to talk about the future of Naby Keita who is one of the most wanted midfielders in Europe at the moment and has emerged as a top transfer target of both Liverpool and Inter.

The Premier League giants are reported to have already reached an agreement for the Guinean midfielder but the Bundesliga side are not open to sell.

“We rejected a €75 million bid for Keita, there is nothing to do”, Dietrich Mateschitz said.

“He is under contract with us and he will respect it. It would be bad for our fans to sell him and we’d sent a bad message to other players like Timo Werner who also has lot of requests.”

Keita, however, has a € 55 million release clause that can be activated from summer 2018 and that gives Liverpool and Inter hope Leipzig will accept to sell the player for a higher transfer fee this summer.
