Leipzig reject 57 million offer from Liverpool for Naby Keita

Reports in Bild state that RB Leipzig have rejected a £57M offer from Liverpool for midfielder Naby Keita. The 22-year-old is one of Jurgen Klopp’s top summer priorities but the stand-off between the two clubs continues.

After reports on Thursday that the player himself had advised the Bundesliga side that he wanted to make the move to Anfield, it seems the Premier League giants will have to continue to twist the arm of their German counterparts to try to get the deal done.
Leipzig have constantly stated that their star man is not for sale but now it’s understood that Keita will instigate a move away and would be even prepared to forfeit loyalty bonuses in order to do so. The journal also claims that he may even hand in a formal transfer request to try to land his dream move to England.

Klopp is believed to have put all his eggs in one basket to try to tie up an agreement and has no alternatives lined up at this time.
