Liverpool in ‘advanced talks’ for €40m Serie A star

Liverpool are reported to be very interested in signing Serie A star Mohammed Salah. The Reds have already reached an agreement with the Egypt star who is reportedly very tempted to move to Afield Road, according to several sources in Italy.

According to La Repubblica, Liverpool are now in advanced talks for the Egyptian winger. AS Roma have slapped € 40 million price-tag on their ace and Liverpool have made an opening € 35 million bid which was rejected by the Serie A giants.

There is not too much gap between offer and demand and a deal between the two clubs is very likely. Liverpool are long time admirers of Salah, so much so the Reds attempted to sign him when he swapped Basel with Chelsea in January 2014.

Salah, however, failed to live up to expectations during his time in England and has imposed himself as one of the best wingers in Europe thanks to his performances with Fiorentina and AS Roma.

Salah has netted 19 goals and registered 15 assists in 41 appearances in all competitions this season.
