Reports in Diario Gol claim that Liverpool have made a sensational £43M bid for Real Madrid’s attacking midfielder Marco Asensio. The 21-year-old is highly thought of by Real boss Zinedine Zidane and has been attracting an army of suitors across Europe.
 

Latest reports however, suggest that Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has made an audacious attempt to try to bring the Spanish international to Anfield this summer and is continuing to try to force Los Blancos to part with their rising star.
 

Asensio featured in 23 La Liga games last season as Real wrestled the title back from their bitter rivals Barcelona and Zidane has already stated that he will not be sold this summer despite the huge competition for places at the Santiago Bernabeu.
 

Having spent the first two years of his contract out on-loan, Asensio still has three years left on his current deal but despite this, Klopp is understood to be ready to continue to take the fight to the Spanish giants.
