Liverpool manager Klopp says Coutinho will stay amid PSG and Barcelona interest

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has denied claims that attacker Phillipe Coutinho will leaving the Reds this summer, according to the Daily Express.

The Liverpool are currently in Sydney, preparing ahead of a new campaign.
The Merseyside enjoyed a fine season under manager Klopp last season as they claimed a Champions League spot by finishing fourth in the league.

Coutinho, one of their star men, played a pivotal role in the successes, as the Brazilian international managed to score 14 goals in 36 appearances.

Klopp, speaking on Coutinho, said, “We use the transfer window, of course, because it gives us an opportunity, but the main thing I think about is how we can make the next step with the players we had last season.

“The good news is we didn’t lose - and we will not lose - a player we want to keep this summer. That’s the best news actually and then we’ll see who can bring into the squad.

Recent reports are suggesting that the playmaker has been under the watchful eye of Paris Saint-Germain and Barcelona but it looks as if Liverpool will be able to keep hold of their man.
