Longtime Berlusconi associate: 'Milan s**k!'

Fedele Confalonieri is a name that tends to pop up far more in the political and financial sections of your average Italian newspaper.

A longtime friend, confidant, associate and employee of Milan owner Silvio Berlusconi, Confalonieri (whose first name, Fedele, literally means 'faithful') now runs Mediaset, the media arm of the business empire.

Despite (or possibly because of) this, his recent comments about AC Milan could have come from any fan in the stands: "It's high time that Milan play better" he told a journalist at the La Scala theatre "In fact, they really suck right now".

Are these comments coming from a disgruntled fan, or a mouthpiece of Berlusconi's?

At this stage, it may not even matter, with everyone piling onto the team, from such respected voices as that of Rino Gattuso... and less respected ones, like Matteo Salvini's.
