Luis Enrique to meet with Bayern today
Luis Enrique is being considered by Bayern Munich to replace Carlo Ancelotti, and is reported to have a lunch planned by Uli Hoeness for today.
According to Sport 1, the former Barcelona Coach and Champions League winner is one of the candidates in the race, alongside Thomas Tuchel and former boss Louis Van Gaal.
Bayern’s players were suspected of rebelling against Ancelotti, prompting the Bavarians to sack the Italian last week after a tragic 3-0 loss to PSG in Champions League action.
Recently, Bayern met with Pep Guardiola (see tweet below) in order to discuss the future candidate, and it was reported by Enrique - who eventually succeeded him at the Nou Camp - was one of the names mentioned.
Guardiola is currently in Bavaria to celebrate Oktoberfest alongside Markus Weinzierl and Leipzig coach Ralph Hasenhuttl, but these reports indicate that he’s not just there for pleasure.
