Real Madrid attacker Marco Asensio recently extended his contract at the Bernabeu until 2023. During his press conference announcing the agreement, Asensio was asked which goal he scored is his favorite. Unsurprisingly, he mentioned the recent Champions League final against Juventus.

“[The goal] of the Champions League final against Juventus, a goal that I dreamed of,” answered the Spaniard. “To play a final, win it with Real Madrid and scoring was amazing and exciting.” During the final in Wales, Asensio banged home a 90th minute goal to put the exclamation mark on a dominant 1-4 victory over the Bianconeri.

So far this campaign, he’s deposited four goals in 10 matches in all competitions. Last year, his first in Madrid, Asensio netted 10 in 38 matches, while adding four assists. Last May he made his debut with the senior Spanish national team, and has partaken in four matches with them, but remains scoreless.
