Man City set to complete Dani Alves signing despite Chelsea and Spurs late interest

Manchester City are set to seal to signing of 34-year-old Dani Alves from Juventus; all that needs sorting is the finalisation of legalities from his exit from the Serie A club, which is set to be done today, reports The Sun.

On the cards is a two-year-deal -which is reportedly already agreed by both parties - with the Blues. The contract laid down would see the Brazilian international full-back reunite with his former boss Pep Guardiola.

Among other interested clubs are Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur – with the Brazilian international set to accept an offer £1.7m less than the Pensioners were offering - but it looks as though it’s the north-west Manchester have wrapped up the deal with the former-Barcelona player.

Guardiola has taken players from his former Catalan club before, with Claudio Bravo coming to City in a disastrous spell. But many would believe that the breathless Alves would be a sure-fire buy, with capabilities of storming the Premier League.
