Man United set to raise offer for Fabinho

Manchester United are to set raise their offer for Monaco defender Fabinho in the hope of the landing the highly-rated right-back.

According to Italian outlet Corriere dello Sport via The Daily Express, reports are suggesting that the North West had made an initial offer for the player but it was rejected. Now, though, the reigning Europa League winners are set to launch yet another offer for the Brazilian international, with it thought that the player even snubbed a chance to join up at Barcelona in favour of joining manager Jose Mourinho at Old Trafford.

The player was on fine form last campaign for Monaco, earning a league win and the side making substantial progress in the Champions League. The 22-year-old has been on Man United’s radar for a majority of the summer window, and with Portuguese manager Mourinho so far unhappy with the club’s transfer so far, a deal could be heavily pushed by the former-Chelsea boss, as he looks to create a competitive squad to build on last season’s display.
