Man United prepare £50m second bid for Spurs star

Manchester United may have already agreed a fee to sign Romelu Lukaku from Everton, but now they are now again setting their sights on title rivals Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Eric Dier, having already had a first bid turned down, reports The Guardian.

The 23-year-old, Spurs had said, is not for sale, leaving Man United boss Mourinho to looks elsewhere for an alternative, with Chelsea’s Nemanja Matic as an option.
But with the sale of Lukaku, the West London club are very unlikely to sanction a move to their rivals.

So now the Red Devils are looking to try another fresh swoop for the England international defensive-midfielder Dier, and feel that a sum of around £50m would alter Spurs’ thinking.

The player is open to a move away from the North London club who finished second last season in the Premier League, because of his lack of game time, having become second choice to Victor Wanyama.
