Man United, Spurs target deletes Instagram account

Everton star Ross Barkley has deleted his Instagram account, according to the latest reports from the Liverpool Echo (via the Mirror).

The young Englishman has refused to sign a new deal at Goodison Park, despite having only twelve months left on his deal. Pursued by Spurs and Manchester United, the 23-year-old was told by Coach Ronald Koeman that he would be sold last season if he didn’t sign an extension.

Barkley recently refused an £100.000-a-week offer, forcing them to look for alternatives, which include Davy Klaassen and Gylfi Sigurdsson, formerly of Tottenham and currently with Swansea.

The midfielder - who scored six goals and made eight assists for Everton this season in all competitions - has been pursued by elite clubs for a while. He is, at the moment, still present on Twitter.

The Toffees made a lot of progress under Coach Ronald Koeman last season, and need to find a strong midfielder in order to justify their ambitions.
