Man United target wants to stay at PSG: 'I'm happy here'

Edinson Cavani sounds like he’s going to remain at PSG, if his latest statements are anything to go by.

Linked over the last few months to Manchester United, Napoli and Atletico Madrid, the 30-year-old superstar is coming off a sensational season, where he scored 49 goals in all competitions.

“Why should it be strange that I sign a new deal after Monaco won the title, and we were eliminated from the Champions League?” the former Napoli star revealed (via Le10Sport).

“These things don’t come into the negotiations at all. I feel happy, confident here in Paris, and I like it here.”

Cavani finally found the opportunity to be the unquestioned starter at the Parc des Princes this season, playing a stunner once Zlatan Ibrahimovic left for Manchester United.

“We shouldn’t forget that I get the chance to play for a big club, in one of the best leagues in the world.

“Of course, PSG haven’t achieved all their objectives, but you can believe me: I’m more motivated than ever”.
