Man Utd, Chelsea target set for contract extension with AS Roma

AS Roma could offer Kostas Manolas a new contract in the next few weeks. The Greece International joined the giallorossi two years ago and has been one of the most impressive defenders of Serie A over the last couple of seasons.

Manolas, 24, is believed to be a target of Manchester United and Chelsea but with Miralem Pjanic set to announce his move to Juventus next week and being Radja Nainggolan still uncertain about his future at the club, the giallorossi won’t allow the departure of another key player in the upcoming transfer window.

Chelsea were also interested in signing Manolas’ teammate Antonio Rudiger, but the Blues retired from the race to sign the Germany International after the serious knee injury he had picked up less than a week ago.

Rudiger has had a surgery today and will be back in six months time.
