Man Utd: Mourinho eye Serie A star as possible Carrick replacement

Manchester United are looking for a replacement of Michael Carrick, 36, who has less than one year left in his contract with the Red Devils  and could end his experience at the Old Trafford at the end of the season.

Over the last couple of years the Red Devils have signed a few reliable midfield reinforcement. Paul Pogba made return to Manchester in summer 2016 whilst Nemanja Matic reunite with his former boss José Mourinho last summer completing a € 48 million move from Chelsea.

The retirement of Carrick would leave Manchester United in need of a new top class midfielder and according to the Sun, Mourinho has set his sights on Roma star Radja Nainggolan.

The 30-year-old is one of the most wanted midfielders in Europe and is arguably the best Serie A player in his position.

The Ninja has already snubbed several moves away from Roma but if the giallorossi fail to lift any silverware this season his Roma at the end of the season exit can’t be ruled out.
