Man Utd: transfer reports from Turkey could bring new beginning for Italy star

Manchester United defender Daley Blind is being linked with a January move to Galatasaray. According to Turkish news outlet Hurriyet, the Dutch defender could be moving to Turkey in January and could bring a new beginning for one of Manchester United’s full-backs.

The player we are talking about is, of course, Matteo Darmian.

The Italy full-back refused to rule out a return to Italy earlier last week revealing that he’d like to play more games for the Red Devils.

“Of course I want to play as much games as possible and that’s why I am working hard every day. I want to ‘cause problems’ to the manager [Mourinho] when he will have to chose the starting XI. I can’t deny I am still watching Italian football. Who knows, maybe one day I could be back”, Darmian said while on International duty with Italy national team.

The 27-year-old has only played four games in all competitions so far this season and only one of them in Premier League games.

Blind, on the other hand, has already seven appearances in all competitions so far this season but his possible winter departure from the Old Trafford could give Darmian more chances to start in Man Utd’s XI from January.
