Exclusive: Manchester United and Milan set to battle it out for a Bayern starlet

It won't be easy to convince Bayern Munich to sell Renato Sanches. Recently, Bayern CEO Karl-Heinze Rummenigge said that he would like to get 48 million euros for the young starlet.

This means that Milan would have to increase their offer if they want to get him. Milan sporting director Mirabelli did recently state: "I know him from his Benfica days. He is a great player and we have a great understanding with Bayern. We are evaluating many things but yes this is a deal that we might try to go ahead with...".  After yesterday's game between Milan and Bayern (4-0 win for the rossoneri), both clubs had a discussion concerning Renato Sanches. 

THE PLAN - According to Calciomercato.com sources, Milan are pushing for a two year loan (worth 7-8 million euros) with an obligation to buy payable on two years. Both parties keep talking but a deal isn't in place just yet. Bayern want to give him a chance to get more playing time and Carlo Ancelotti did recently admit that Milan were a possibility for the Poruguese player. Even so, they aren't the only ones...
