Here's why De Gea will not be leaving Manchester United this summer

Despite Friday’s reports that Real Madrid are about to launch another massive bid for Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea, sources close to the club are confident the Spanish number one will remain at Old Trafford next season.

The 26-year-old has been constantly linked with a return to his home city since Real’s failed attempts to sign him in the summer of 2015. ESPN however, has some positive news for United fans this morning reporting that sources close to the Spanish giants believe the club does not have the financial clout to pull off a deal for the player.

Los Blancos are already carrying a huge wage bill at present and the addition of De Gea and his own pay demands would not sit comfortably with the clubs power brokers. With striker Alvaro Morata still at the club and James Rodriguez on a two-year loan at Bayern Munich, Real’s transfer plans have reportedly been thrown into jeapordy.

The portal declares that De Gea will eventually go back to his homeland as his girlfriend, Edurne Almagro Garciastill, lives in the capital
