Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho is hatching a secret plan to bring Real Madrid defender Raphael Varane to Old Trafford this summer. The Portuguese tactician knows the 24-year-old well after his time on the bench in the Spanish capital and despite last week’s comments by the player that seemed to aim a dig at his former boss, Don Balon writes that his future could still be at the Theatre of Dreams.
 

The portal claims that Mourinho is aware that Real Madrid wants to bring Italian international Leonardo Bonucci to the Santiago Bernabeu this summer and that he will use that knowledge to try to convince the French international to make the switch to the Premier League. It’s also reported that Mourinho has already told the player that he would be a regular starter at United which Varane sees as vital for his chances of competing for his country at next summer’s World Cup Finals in Russia.
