Manchester United target Perisic "Unlikely to stay at Inter"

As Manchester United continue their pursuit of Croatian midfielder Ivan Perisic, Italian football journalist Tancredi Palmeri has stated that the 28-year-old is unlikely to stay at his current employers.

The Inter Milan ace has already reportedly agreed personal terms with the Red Devils on a summer move but the Nerazzurri are playing hard to get and continue to demand €50M from the Premier League giants for the player’s signature. After Starsport’s declaration that the two clubs have been in talks since the end of last season, Palmeri was confident that United could get the deal over the line before the August 31 deadline.

He told The Express that; “With Perisic, I don't see the deal not happening.Inter have said publicly, 'We don't want to sell Perisic' but behind the curtains they are acting like someone who haven't found the price they wanted - yet. Whether it's the fee, or getting Anthony Martial on loan with an option to buy, it could be either. For Perisic, it's been uncomfortable."

“Inter don't have as much to offer to be competitive as Manchester United, which means it's unlikely he will stay. If I had to bet, I think Perisic will move to Manchester United this summer. But you must remember, everything can change in 24 hours. That's something people should always keep in mind.”
