Manchester United to make one last attempt for Spurs & England star

According to latest reports, Manchester United will try to persuade Tottenham Hotspur with a take it or leave it offer for midfielder Eric Dier. The 23-year-old has been high on boss Jose Mourinho’s wish-list for some time but Spurs chairman Daniel Levy is playing hard to get. The Portuguese tactician wants a holding midfielder and with Nemanja Matic seemingly on his way to Juventus from Chelsea, Dier is now the player he wants for his central area.

Reports in The Mirror claim that United are ready to try to tempt Levy to part with his star player by submitting a huge £60M offer for the England international. CEO Ed Woodward remained being in the UK as the rest of the squad jetted off to the US for their summer tour and will now turn his attention to the player who is believed to be keen on making the move to Old Trafford. The club are also reportedly ready to double his current salary if they can get the deal completed.
