Marco Verratti 'not returning' to PSG as Barcelona rumours grow

Marco Verratti has told Paris Saint-Germain that he will not be returning to the club next season as he wishes to move on to Barcelona, Eurosport reports.

The 24-year-old has been rumoured to make the move to the Nou Camp for several weeks, with Eurosport indicating that a deal of a whopping €100m is on the cards.

Verratti moved to PSG in 2012, following four years at Pescara in Serie A. Since his time in the French league, he has made a name for himself as being one of the most creative and gifted playmakers in the world, attracting the attention of Europe’s biggest clubs.

Now the La Liga giants, it is reported, wish to bring Verratti to the club and make the central-midfielder an heir to the 33-year-old Spanish international Andres Iniesta.

However, the PSG has been adamant throughout the transfer sagas that they will not be selling the Italian international for any price, leaving the rumours to continue.
