    Mario Gomez’s price-tag revealed

    Besiktas want to sign Mario Gomez to permanent deal. The German striker failed to live up to expectations during his two year spell with Fiorentina though he has recovered his best form while out on loan to Besiktas where he netted 28 goals in all competitions, helping his side to win the Super Lig title for the first time since 2009.

    Besiktas can make Gomez’s move permanent for a fee of just € 1.000 but the 30-year-old striker would prefer to move to a bigger club and might decide to return to Fiorentina looking for a new challenge.

    La Viola sporting director Pantaleo Corvino will request € 5 million to allow the player’s departure. Signing the former Bayern Munich star for that fee would definitely be a bargain given that Gomez has already scored two goals during the European Championships.
