Matuidi, no Juve move as Raiola declares; "I believe he will renew with PSG"
In August, as deadline day approached, the 28-year-old had his heart set on a move from the French capital to Turin but plans were foiled when his current employers refused to sanction a switch to Serie A. As we head towards the winter transfer window, bianconeri CEO Marotta has still not found an understanding with PSG patron Al Khealifi and the player has now become an integral part of coach Emery’s team.
In an interview with Le Parisien, Matuidi’s agent, Mino Raiola declared that; “Negotiations over a possible new contract are currently ongoing and the signals are very positive. I believe he will stay at PSG”. The player’s current deal expires in the summer of 2018 but his relationship with the Ligue 1 champions seems to have been re-ignited since those uncertain days last summer.
