    According to the Northern Echo, Middlesbrough have set sights on Alvaro Negredo a former target of Inter and AC Milan who has already played in the Premier League but failed to live up to expectations during his two year spell at Manchester City having only scored nine goals in 32 appearances.

    Middlesbrough are interested in welcoming the Spaniard on a loan deal. Boro have just completed the signing of Marten de Roon from Atalanta.
