Mihajlovic not happy at Berlusconi's interference in Milan team affairs

Milan face Verona today, and you'd think that this crucial game would be the main focus for Milanisti the world over.

Er, no it isn't, it's Silvio Berlusconi, the star of the show again after captain Riccardo Montolivo revealed that the Milan president had given the team a tactics refresher.

"The president pointed out a few technical things, he wants to see more play on the deck, less long balls".

We're certainly no strangers to Berlusconi's hate-hate affair with Mihajlovic, having wanted to fire the Serb pretty much from the off.

To his credit, the former Sampdoria, Bologna and Fiorentina manager has sniped back: "Berlusconi detailed his tactical analysis, but with the coach's permission: everyone is fully responsible for their own role".

This is definitely a break with the past for Mihajlovic, who isn't amused at seeing his work undermined by his boss. Sources close to the Milan owner report that this is grating on Berlusconi, too.

This isn't the first time that Miha has fired back: after his team crushed former team Sampdoria to the tune of four goals at the San Siro, the Serb sarcastically referred to Berlusconi's absence: "The president didn't join us in the dressing room? I told him on Friday not to get them mixed up".

An obvious reference to the owner's visits to Sassuolo and Atalanta's dressing rooms when they visited before.
