AC Milan: Andrea Bertolacci has yet to prove his worth

Milan are unbeaten in their last seven games in all competitions , with manager Sinisa Mihajlovic who has finally cemented his place in charge of the Rossoneri after a difficult start to the season.

Not everything in the garden is rosy by the way, as the Serbian boss is still waiting for the real Andrea Bertolacci to show up this season.

Having joined the San Siro for a fee of € 20 million last summer, the former Genoa and Roma man has yet to justify his price-tag as he only scored one goal and registered as much assists in 16 Serie A games.

Mihajlovic seems to have found  the right balance in midfield as the likes of Riccardo Montolivo and Juraj Kucka have been delivering convincing performances over the last couple of months or so.

It is fair to add that Bertolacci has also struggled with injury this term, failing to find the consistency that he needed during his first year at Milan. Pressure coming from both the fans and the club have probably not helped Bertolacci to settle in well at the San Siro.
Despite this, Mihajlovic might line-up the 25-year-old against Udinese tomorrow.

“I consider him a starter, but he needs to make the most of his chances”, Miha told journalists during the pre-match press conference.

Bertolacci will have to let his feet do the talking from now on, in order to justify his manager’s words as well as to prove his real worth.
