Little money but many ideas; this has been the trend of the transfer window so far for Milan. The rossoneri are not in a position to bring in reinforcements until some star names (Bacca, Menez) have left the club. Among the many negotiations that Milan wants to bring forward is that of Atalanta attacking midfielder Alejandro Gomez, who has a contract in Bergamo until 2020.
 

The scenario is clear enough, the 28-year-old has made no secret of his desire to play at a higher level in Serie A and that he would only consider leaving Atalanta for a club of this stature. With Vincenzo Montella now at the helm, General Manager Adriano Galliani hopes to be able to tempt the player to Milanello by offering his current club €10 million plus Paletta, who spent last season on-loan in Bergamo.  

Gomez-Milan certainly has a chance of progressing and there are several clues that suggest it could eventually happen. Firstly, Galliani has an agreement in principle with the agent of the player for a salary of €1.5 million, double what he currently earns in Bergamo. Secondly, Atalanta does not see the player as unsellable and look to be willing to negotiate.
